Happy Women’s Day, South Shore!
Celebrating the women in our communities today and every day
March 8 every year celebrates women internationally and this year we’re starting right here locally as a women owned and operated business we have a lot to celebrate! I asked our amazing team who are nurses, moms, wives, friends, daughters and business women three questions – let’s see what they have to say to and advice for women in our communities:
1.What is one thing you want other women starting businesses to know?
“I would love other women to be aware of is the unbelievable support from other women owned businesses. It’s amazing how we as women come together and support and give advice, and just overall help each other out! I’ve learned so much from the local community!”
-Sara, RN, Plymouth IV Lounge
“It is not a competition, there is plenty of room for multiple businesses within the same industry to grow and succeed. One business's success does not mean another business's failure. We need to lift each other up and promote each other!”
-Amanda, RN, Union Street
“As mobile “always on” growing business it can feel like you have to be”on” 24/7 especially when your iphone is at your fingertips, my advice starting out is you need to set boundaries between work and home life – to better succeed in both.”
-Lauren, RN, Plymouth IV Lounge
2.How do you stay healthy while busy?
“I try to be present in whatever role I’m in at that very moment. When I am at home, I try to be present as a mom and a wife. When I am at work, I try to be present in the business so I can focus my energy and time and give 110%!”
–Sara, R.N., Plymouth IV Lounge
“As a busy wife, mom, and nurse, being and staying healthy can be hard!! For physical health I try and meet my daily step goal everyday, some days that looks like going for a walk around the neighborhood and other days it looks like going up and down the stairs with the laundry basket”
–Amanda, R.N., Union St.
“This is not the easiest thing for me! Honestly, I leave my house messier than I would like if it means I can get to barre/pilates class or go right to bed when I get home late from a long shift instead of staying home/up and cleaning up…it will still be there when I get back.”
–Lauren, R.N., Plymouth IV Lounge
3.What is your favorite treatment and why
“I personally love the LED light therapy. It is relaxing, it has helped my skin and my hyperpigmentation, my adult acne… Some fine lines and wrinkles and if anything, it’s forced chill time – where I can lay under a soothing light for 30 minutes hopefully not interrupted lol!”
–Sara, R.N. Plymouth IV Lounge
“I would have to say our IM injections are my favorite! I love a good IV infusion but sometimes taking the time for myself is hard. The IM injections can help with hair, skin, and nails, energy, metabolism, and immunity in as little as 5 minutes!”
–Amanda, R.N., Union St.
“The VI peel is hands down my favorite treatment! The way my skin feels after is AMAZING! And it’s a treatment that you can see a dramatic difference immediately.”
–Lauren, R.N., Plymouth IV Lounge
Behind these successful business women, nurses, moms, wives, and the list goes on is a long list of even more women supporting us, our new business and getting involved in our beautiful communities - from all the women running this show thank you! Encourage, cheer on and thank a woman in your life today and every day!
